| IMPCO'S R-24 RESIN IMPREGNATION SYSTEM SEALS POROUS PARTS PRESSURE-TIGHT
IMPCO announces the availability of its R-24 Resin Impregnation System. The R-24 is the smallest, self-contained, dry vacuum impregnation system offered on a production basis from IMPCO. It permanently and efficiently seals both porous castings and powdered metal parts. This compact IMPCO system, when used with IMPCO’s Impregnation resins, seals porosity that adversely affects the quality of metal castings and parts under pressure. IMPCO’s Impregnation resins are forced into the voids within the castings using vacuum pressure, filling the porous openings which are responsible for part rejection. The R-24 Impregnation System provides a fast, efficient seal that will last as long as the casting itself.
R-24 impregnation equipment is mounted on a 48” x 93” x 3” (122cm x 236cm x 8cm) platform. Standard equipment includes a 24” diameter x 30” deep (61cm x 76cm) pressure vessel, vacuum pump, resin storage tank, work baskets and a pre-piped control panel.
Optional equipment includes completely automatic controls for operation of the impregnation cycle, and a casting surger to allow automatic and efficient washing of parts. The optional jib boom hoist for materials handling eliminates the need for an overhead monorail. Back |
