| IMSEAL-800 MAKES PARTS GOOD AS NEW — HIGH-STRENGTH RESIN ALLOWS QUICK, LONG-LASTING REPAIRS
“Fix What’s Broke”
IMSEAL-800 effectively fills surface defects where welding or brazing would be impractical. With special techniques, it goes deep inside cavities, inclusions, and porosity in metal. IMSEAL-800 hardens to a permanent seal that can be drilled, tapped, or machined. Resistant to most fuels, oils, alcohols, glycols, solvents, salts, mild acids, Freon®, and most other common liquids and gases, cured IMSEAL-800 typically withstands constant service temperatures from - 65° to 350° F. It has a Rockwell hardness of 97, a tensile strength of 9,000 psi, a compressive strength of 35,000 psi, and a compressive yield of 16,500 psi (typical maximums).
Designed as a welcomed addition to any tool kit, IMSEAL-800 is uniquely packaged in a pre-measured system which is activated by mixing the two parts inside the sealed packet. Once mixed, the clear, low-viscosity (750 cps), modified epoxy has a pot life of ± 45 minutes at room temperature, and the unique package can be used as the applicator. Because of its easy-to-use package and excellent physical properties, IMSEAL-800 is rapidly becoming a staple in company tool cribs, maintenance and repair departments.
IMSEAL-800 has proven to be inexpensive, cost-effective, and versatile in many metal-repair applications. By special order, it is also available in aluminum-filled (IMSEAL-801), brass-filled (IMSEAL-802), and iron-filled (IMSEAL-803) formulations for specialized repairs.
With more than 55 years of experience, IMPCO is the vacuum-impregnation expert, offering equipment; resins; and parts-cleaning, impregnating, and pressure-testing services for permanently sealing (to industry and U.S. military standards) micro and macro porosity in metal and powdered-metal castings, electronic components, ceramics, and various parts coated with micro-cracked nickel or chrome. IMPCO specialists know how to optimize the impregnation process for components used in braking, transmission, instrumentation, pumping, pressurized-spraying, fire-safety, hydraulic, and compressed-air-and-gas systems. IMPCO will also custom-engineer impregnation systems, providing all the equipment, materials, and ongoing technical assistance a customer needs to establish an in-house impregnating operation. Back |
