| Will impregnation distort, discolor, or damage castings in any way?
No, because impregnation is basically within the wall thickness of the casting and the vacuum-pressure is exerted upon the casting is in all directions. There is no film or coating on the surface of the part to change any dimensional machined tolerances. There are some metals which will be discolored by some impregnants available; however, the materials used in the Impco Process are designed to insure against discoloration or corrosion.
