Yes, one pound of resin will impregnate 100-800 pounds of aluminum, bronze or cast iron castings. The energy consumed in the melting and casting of these metals, plus the energy consumed in machining of them, is many times the energy value used in the process, including that used to manufacture Impco Resins.
